The Ivon Part 1

It was a matter of time before humans would eventually meet an intelligent species that operated the same way that they did. The deadly Zilik’s Disease had set its toll among the Itrean clans. Countless trillions of male Itreans died from the manufactured sickness, and many more could not be born as a result. In its genes, humanity carried the cure, and countless Itrean women sought humans to become mates in hopes of becoming mothers to give birth to Itrean male offspring once again. The clans found a temporary solution. While the disease targets males, it leaves the Itrean female alone. The Itreans were the masters of genetics and bio-engineering. Their answer was the Ivon. The translation for this word in the Itrean language means “The Third Gender,” and it proved to be one that worked. An Itrean woman could be modified to carry the male reproductive organ and manufacture the sperm necessary to pass along her genes to another female.
