Melissa's heart was pounding when she filled out an initial registration form for job applicants. She wasn't sure when the manager of Dolce Vita would respond, or whether she'd get any response at all.
The response came within an hour: a request for a picture of herself and her resume. She sent off a selfie and the requested resume.
She received a request to show up for an interview at 9:00 in the morning the next day. Well, that was fast. Less than 24 hours after initial contact, she was called in for an interview.
The entrance to Dolce Vita certainly was strange. The building itself was a large mansion, but the actual entrance was inconspicuous. Well inconspicuous if you didn't think about those two sinister-looking guards at the door.
As the manager would later tell Melissa: "We're not Mega-Burger. We don't need to flash our name everywhere. The clients we want will find us on their own."
