I wish I could pick my phone,
Place a call, and wait for you to pick...

So when you finally pick,
I would ask how your day went...

I would crack a boring joke
And you would giggle...

I would go on to tell you
The little details about you...

The dress you wore...
To our friend's party...
That cold evening...

I would say I envy your
Wristwatch and wish it was
My hand wrapped around your wrist...

I would promise to stick
With you and not hurt you,
Just like the dangling ring
Stuck inside your earlobe...

I would stay with you
During key moments and
Not discard you like you
Would do to your earing...

You would feel the emotions
In my tone, you would question...

If they were lies,
If it was an act,
If it was a script,
If it was a dream...

I would apologize to you about
The day you saw the second man...
The day I used F word...

I would make myself vulnerable
To you, stumble on words,
And you would look
Beyond that...

You would not make me
Look stupid for the boring jokes...

I would tell you the story
Didn't end in the bedroom...

It didn't end the day
Our skin touched...

It didn't halt the day
We locked hands together
And fed our skin with
Sweats of pleasure...

Many stories stopped there...
Ours should start from here...
Start with a call...

"Hello, how are you doing..."

The End

Reminded me a bit of the song " Hello, it's Me " by Todd Rundgren.

Very beautiful.
