SACRED KINK/Infinite shades of Iridescence

Langston Hughes - A dream deferred
Gita Gayatri - A dream fulfilled

Desire
     Dark
     Lush
               Of a reddish-hued plum skin
               Lush, juicy, munch! Mmm…
               Wispy moisture, aah

               Drip, drip, drip
               Drop, drop, drop

Clop, clop, clop! Here he is!

               The rustle of silk,
Of chiffon, of poplin and a glowing one in a pink cotton sari
She is pink cotton candy, desire incarnate, to devour
Mustard seeds popping, pop, pop, pop
Creamy cashew curry and multi-coloured jasmine rices
Strands of jasmine and rose and bunches of chrysanthemum and marigold

               Fragrant petals strewn
So carelessly, yet so carefully, to be blessed by
               Lotus feet

Of children glowing in ornate gold,
               Laughing
Children playing hide and seek, red rover, red rover, come over, come over,
               Touch-me-not and peek-a-boo
A promise of children, a vision of children to come
Bless me Ultima, Bless me ultimately, bless us and our eternity

Heavy scented, cloying sweet rose petals on burgundy brocade waiting to be crushed
Drums in the distance, violin of an orchestra to ride the high,
A sweet raga to still the ache in your heart and dry your tears
Cloyingly sweet, unbearable

Desire
     Desire you are
          An unbearable lightness of being
The eternal sunshine of the spotless mind
          And it is truly
A midsummer night’s dream come true

                         Desire,
                              Desire,
                                   Desire
Desire my sweet, desire my love, desire my sweetling, loveling, you make my heart sing
I love you, you love me, we love we
Desire, desire, desire
A chant, a mantra, a song
Love incarnate, beauty incarnate
Desire, desire, Desire
Aum Shanti, Shanti, Shanti.
