into some dank forest?
how long has it been
since your hands
ran over bark
and fingers explored
the soft caverns
of soil?
since your eyes have fallen
on the beauty of towering pines
and entrenching valleys
how long since you last kissed
the morning frost on some mountainside
and woke up to the wind enveloping you
tumbling your hair and caressing your cheek
how long since your passion
and ferocity were seen
and requited?
