I want to get to know
the person who surfaced
when there was no longer
an audience
the man who engaged me
in conversation
in whispered tones
the one who
asked me why
cared how I felt
and wanted me
to open up
his touch
was tender but firm
and he was passionate
if only for a moment
as his lips
lightly brushed my skin
if only I had asked
I wonder if he would
have kissed my lips
I want the stranger
lurking in the shadows
show me

exciting

and dramatic, but don't stop there --take it to the hilt
