A wave you are a wave and I tremble
as your hands and your mouth feed
the fire your tongue in the mouths of my body
as I write and your nostrils
quiver and I tremble and I breathe
your perfume and you wash the mud that covers me the vertigo
of the city and your face
moves across my womb as
waters
dissolve in my skull and nails dig
into shoulders nails of light milk blades wind
as I write as I dig
in your breath and you're an ocean
where I'm unafraid an animal
that lets itself be drunk chewed and drinks me devours me
and so I love you as the waters
and the waves the sands
that possess them.
more then erotic, it feels like love and acceptance. Probably one of your very best Lauren, and you have so many bests, but this one is... Its going into my faves
cos I need a cold one. Delicious, Lauren. Thank you.

I like this very much. The selection of words like waves, wash, mud, move, waters, dissolve, ocean, sands give the poem a texture(feel) in adddition to the bare meaning of the words.
I love the way this poem flows on the tongue. Great imagery and depth, much enjoyed.
Once in a while you will find a word grouping that is altogether lovely. This poem contains such a sequence. So beautiful.
and so I love you as the waters
and the waves the sands
that possess them.
I usually save , as I did here, a Lauren poem to the end, both to just enjoy it and because it will normally be the most challenging piece of the day. This poem is no exception and as I read it I sometimes felt like I was reading two poems at once. And the eroticism is very much there, can't miss it.
