Across a golden pond,
Where the moon shines like milk,
There is a little island,
Where I find a love to spend,
Like coins tossed into the night,
They bounce and re-bound,
I make my only wish.
For can this be love I've found.

The Shards of the broken-hearted,
Lie all over the forlorn ground,
As shadows pick up their pieces,
Of a broken love they found.

I shout out, if only, can she hear my voice,
I reach out, if only, can she feel my arms,

I wrap them around a body,
Of gas and solid air,
And think of you only,
and kiss you as if you're there.

Across a golden pond,
Where the moon shines of silver and gold,
I find a place that's lonely,
But their lies a love so old.
