Here we are again locked in an intimate embrace.
You couldn’t wait to shun all company so that we may be alone together.
In eager anticipation, you peel off my jacket and run your fingers down my spine.
I open up to you and you feverishly plunder my secrets.

You slip familiarly between the vellum sheets.
Like a curious lover, you bury your face into my fragrant folds.
Well versed in the poetry of love, you kiss by the book.
Pages flutter wildly. Bindings strain at the passion of our union.

I hold back nothing while you devour me from prologue to epilogue.
Pulse quickens as the action rises into a heart stopping climax.
Longingly you linger over my final words but too soon are we parted by stark reality.
With reluctance you place me tenderly back upon the shelf.

There I will patiently wait to be reawakened by your amorous adoration.
Until once more you crave my fictional embrace.
Tempted to lift the cover and resume our literary liaison.
-Ex libris my Love.
