Pleasure claws at me
like the grave.
Money breeds
everywhere, like yesterday
when I tried to run free.
Though the movies make
Life seem
so damn easy.
Slimy sultry smiles of grace
and a bittersweet taste
of freedom, of America.
Where the homeless hurt
and the rich waste away.
