an awareness of the encroachment of insanity
the slow drip
corrosive melt
granite eroding
tick tock.
the futility of battle
in the fog of war with oneself.
i am another
not me
wishing for a stopwatch
a trainwreck
a titanic iceberg
to end the inevitable
march to the sea.
Jesus and Mao drinking the blood
coagulating in wine bottles
thrown to the roadside,
trashing the Beauty,
the Hope for salvation,
my white flag raised
on my knees before barbarians.
