I am a dilettante
gazing in wonder into the abyss.
Closing my eyes, ancient passions arise
in sensuous visions and echoes in the canyon.

The bonfire divides the desert night
raging with spiritual intensity.
The scent of sage, the taste of peyote,
painted warriors prepared to die, dancing
in circles as Chaco gypsy maidens
chant magical mantras in unison.

I seek the Anasazi
a mystical communion through time.
We have all been here before.
Be here with me now
as I open my eyes
before disappearing again.

I really love this one, we all seek something akin to this!
