From Heaven’s pearly gates they ride;
Each one upon their steeds side by side;
With immortal beauty the world has never known;
They gallop through the night, their destination unknown;
Their loveliness, a pure sight to behold;
Even such radiance, dear Shakespeare never foretold;
Hoof beats pounding like there’s no tomorrow;
Two exquisite sirens of the night, coming to ease some poor soul’s sorrow;
Sweat off their bodies, shining in the moonlight;
Two gorgeous seraphims riding into the twilight;
The morning fog surrounds them like a shroud;
Creating an illusion of galloping on a soft, ivory colored cloud;
With love unbridled steadfastly they ride;
With the swiftness of angel’s wings together they glide;
Their destination unwavered by the morning’s dew;
Off in the distance their true love finally comes into view;
Alone he stands at life’s troubled sea;
Gazing out over the vastness of a time yet to be;
Lonely and broken hearted he cries into the night;
With tears of sorrow he sighs, still no one’s in sight;
Then it falls like a melody on his forlorn ears;
Hoof beats in the distance from somewhere unclear;
“Meggan & Nikki, oh God, please be you!”
“I have waited for eternity to get my tender arms around you!”
And then, out of the fog and morning dew;
Step two radiant creatures with their love, now totally in view;
With a passion unknowen by men of yore;
With their bodies entwined they fall to the shore;
The tide caressing them with each adoring kiss;
My friend, this is love in its purest form of bliss;
With Meggan & Nikki, this is now what’s meant to be;
His wait is now over, as their bodies get cascaded by the sea;
My friend, for love is the essence of all that exists;
It’s what formed the world with God’s simple, loving kiss;
Meggan & Nikki, this poem I wrote especially for you;
Please cherish it and hold it dear whenever you may feel down or blue;
For love is a thing that spans the expanse of space;
And feel those gentle kisses on your sweet, lovely, angelic face;
Your true love is waiting for you somewhere in life’s sea;
You just have to patient and one day, you too will see;
Out of the vast horizon, your love will finally come into view;
And girls, this poem is my gift and my testament to you;
May God bless you and hold you forever dear;
And you’ll always have a true friend as long as this poem is near.
Love and Friendship Always,
Your Friend Forever,
Esko Dean, Jr.
