Friend came by
co-worker of mine
once said: “stop by
if you have some time,”
Worked together
The Office for years
sometimes on Friday
went out for beers,

Casual friends
never much more
but wondered sometimes
what might be in store,
If friendship advanced
to the next stage
might there be a spark
if set the right gage,

Mid-afternoon
we started to drink
started to plan
started to think,
Out on the deck
kicked off our shoes
when nothing is ventured
nothing to lose,

Moved close together
started to touch
clothes we were wearing
didn’t amount to much,
Shorts and shirts
her panties and bra
as they came off
I liked what I saw,

Now both naked
the deck in the sun
who knew friends
could have so much fun,
At The Office on Monday
no secret to others
could tell by our smile
and rosy-red colors,
