In the morning I awaken to the sunrise.
I open my eyes to the rays of the paradise.
In the tropical bliss, I lie upon the sand,
That looks like baby powder in this exotic land.
The ocean breeze caresses my mind and my soul
The rays of the pineapple sunrise have made me whole.
Melodies of soca, punta and merengue,
of the coffee lands in this tropical getaway,
Give me stillness of mind–like a green, serene pond;
Swirling around like pixie dust from a fairie's wand.
I would if I could stay in this place forever,
But I am not The One whose hand is on The Lever.
