Click hereI woke before sunrise this morning. Naked and unashamed, I walked down the hallway and turned on the coffee maker.
Awakening senses, my morning ritual begun.
The aroma of freshly brewed beans filled the air,
Welcoming the day with a warmth so rare.
As the liquid dark elixir dripped into the pot,
I pondered the day ahead, the possibilities sought.
Naked, vulnerable, and free from constraint,
I embraced the morning, with no need to feign.
With each sip, the caffeine coursed through my veins,
Reviving my spirit, dispelling any remains
Of weariness and doubt that clung to my soul,
As the sun's first rays started to unfold.
Naked and unashamed, I greeted the dawn,
Embracing the essence of a brand-new morn.
The world was my canvas, waiting to be explored,
Unburdened by garments, my spirit soared.
In that moment, I realized the power within,
To shed the layers that society pins.
To embrace authenticity, to be wholly true,
To walk this life's journey, without residue.
So I stood there, in that soft morning light,
Naked and unashamed, embracing my right
To live boldly, authentically, and free,
As I sipped my coffee, soul at peace, you see.
For in the vulnerability of a naked soul,
Lies the strength to conquer, to reach our goal.
To walk through life, unafraid and unbound,
With every step taken, a new chapter found.
Sitting at the window with my cup of coffee, my wife's footsteps approached. She was naked also, holding her own cup as we waited for the sun to rise.
Wow. Wow. Wow. This is one of the most intense, life affirming poems I have ever read. And when she walks in naked. Again - wow wow wow! Great poem.
