welcome to my castle.
imperious walls made of cotton.
you could hardly know you've trampled right through them.
hell, I bet it even feels good.

my defenses have no substance.
my guards are largely mute.
definitely cowardice, given to running away with tails tucked
firmly between their legs.
ever vigilent though. eyes peeping behind their hiding spot.
will notice every hint of danger and infraction.
real or imagined.
they would make great spies.

my mote is shallow and easily breached.
my alligators have no teeth.
but don't worry, because if you need i'll build you a bridge
to cross.
hastily shod and temporary, but functional.
never strong enough to hold you on the way back.

you are stuck. i'm stuck with you.
can't rid myself of you.
i want you to build your own bridge back, but you are too stupid
to see this.

the king and queen judge you harshly, even as the court jester
entertains you.
you are too smitten with the frolicking to notice.
the guards dream of running you out (or running you through).
but cowardice prevails and they are prone to turning against
the establishment, even while you run amuck.

so come leave your gifts by my castle door.
i'm obliged to thank you.
but i swear, one of these days i will send you to the guillotine.
