I live in this world, but I'm not cynical.
I can see the sky is not the pinnacle
Of my ambitions. I seek to soar higher.
Higher than the sky is what I desire.
Higher than a satellite at its apex.
The sky is opaque as if made of latex.
It conceals the treasures that lie far beyond.
The cosmic treasures I shall seize and abscond.
To the farthest reaches of the universe--
Far beyond the sky's veneer--I shall traverse.
The sky's not the limit. To me that is clear.
There's much more to explore beyond this veneer.
