Disassociating distractions from apathy to exaggeration
and laughing
at how stupid it sounds
out loud

to attempt control over ego.

Every mind has got a mind of its own and
I’m not trying to find myself. I’m trying to withhold
the wonder
found alone in the pit of black holes where

words haven’t caught up to the number of
birthday candles I wanna blow
whistles on the next time someone asks me

what exactly it is that I want.

So very lyrical

I think I have come back to this poem about a dozen times and each time I read it the voice in my head adopts a Henry Rollins or an Ice Tea voice and it is sublime. Thank you!
