A new day dawned and the fight was over,
the room was a bloody mess.
Broken roses were all over the floor
and the lady had bloodshot eyes.
Without a word she cleaned up the floor
and then burned all of his clothes.
She had the locks changed before five
so he couldn't get in the door.

She called her mom and dad and
they rushed over to comfort her.
With love and understanding within
they called the police this time.
The animal wasn't going to get in
and that would be the end of that.
With hugs and kisses from mom and dad
everything was about to change.

As hours passed the cops came at five
and took the animal away.
Now the lady was happy once again
and her mom and dad so glad.
The house was hers anyway and
now it was a better place.
Sadly the long stemmed broken roses
would become nothing but mulch.
