Held in check
Breaths held in fear
Of breaking the spell
Restrained liberty
Controlled passion
Cascading and blinding nonetheless
Till at last the ebb and flow of abandon
And one last gentle caress.

29wordsforsnowover 3 years agoAn emotional tipping point caught in words and, well, washed me away. The foreshadowing of what comes after 'the last gentle caress' - and what not - is a sad one...
