Drinking alone a hotel bar
somewhere half-way ‘round the world
doing a job, oh god
like so many times before,
A bottle of wine, all mine
bartender tending her flock
woman walked in, how it began
and offered the key to her lock,

A looker indeed, perhaps what I need
poured her a glass of my wine
traded stories, mutual worries
casually passing the time,
Emptied the bottle, the room filled up
suggested we move to my suite
basic black dress, her favorite my guess
she folded it ever so neat,

By the side of the bed, underwear red
minimalist panties and bra
poised for me there, hand through her hair
certainly enjoyed what I saw,
Like a slow-motion play we did it the way
one might in film noir
after Act One, we drank some rum
from the hotel mini-bar,

Act Two was a screw, like new lovers do
from the rear, my hands on her breasts
my orgasm sweet, I enjoyed the heat
Act Three was really a test,
Thought I was done, she offered more fun
encouraged me back to erection
flat on my back she sucked me in fact
like out to win some election,

Breakfast in bed and that led
to a day exploring the town
afternoon rain, predictably came
no taxis anywhere around,
So soaked to the skin, we walked in again
my room on the thirteenth floor
shower was hot, liked it a lot
wet clothes littered the floor,

Bed had been made, and that’s where we laid
talked about life on the road
the travel, the fun, the foreign sun
what we did to lighten our load,
Had dinner that night at Café Bonjour
at the top of the Hotel Capri
and we discussed, the things that we must
explore before we both flee,
