soothes like no other
the first note
and then a chord...
You’re playing for me
and I like to think it’s for me
And the sound dances lightly on
your fingers light and strong
on the keys
the warmth spreads
and the smile creeps
higher notes grounded
I float along
and breathe with it and you
The silence that falls after
is peaceful
