Cartoons, popsicles and candy cane,
Kiddie park rides on the Sugar Lane.
Out for the summer, no school 'til fall.
There's nothing to do but have a ball.
Bubble gum music and sunny climes.
Movie matinees–and, hey, that rhymes!
Parks, carousels and the city zoo,
On the TV the "New Zoo Revue."
School's out. There's nothing to do all day.
All day to roam and all day to play.
Pop, rock, country, folk, soul, jazz, disco,
Funk and Latin–on the radio.
Memories sweet like a candy cane.
Carefree as can be on Sugar Lane.
