Sitting by a sidewinder
sunning in the sacred sands
my hand in yours
caressing and possessing me.

Me and you, just us two
smiling in Pueblo Bonito.
Unemployed, full of joy
loving nowhere to go.

We entwine like serpents,
enigmas in the desert heat
soaking and choking together
in ancient rituals of passion.
