When you first met me, I was placing bets
on the longshot.
Never splitting my ends and
always up for small talk.
There's that aching pit of want
to be heard.
I assure you I have learned
to stand still

or at least regain composure
post fallout.

I have crawled out
from several Circles of Hell
without breaking a nail.
I say try it.

You might not mind it
but take in mind that I did
and now I'm working swing shifts
trying to catch up.

Loved the positive undertone about moving forward, might it be jumping, walking or crawling.
