They weigh down heavy upon me
A crown of thorns around my head
This blight that I want none to see
A shame to which I’ve cried and bled

She lies bare there now before me
Washing clean guilt with touch and kiss
Nude with her I no longer flee
Never felt freedom such as this

Gently there she caresses me
This crown of pearls around my head
We come together lovingly
A string of pearls 'round her neck instead
