A cry in the night
so full of pain
from a cold basement room
lost in the dark.
A sigh and a yawn
a soul so tired
lives such a lonely empty life
lost in his heart.

His life felt over and he knew
his long distance love affair
would never work at all.
The lady he met online would
soon give up on him and
leave him so cold and blue.
He bawls every night over
everything he sees on his TV.
One man so lost inside of his
soul will really just...
cry in the night.

Purpose dies and
he feels his existence
fade just like the sun there
in the sky.
No one knows the
pain he feels inside
as he wails from his cold room
that has no light.

Now as he eats one more
meal he feels his emptiness
will never be fed again.
His heart feels broken in two
by those who've forsaken him
and left him to die.
How his soul is crying inside
lost in the pain.
One soul so lost within his
own mind and heart will really
just cry in the night.

Wow, so raw yet so heartfelt at the same time. Giving you a hug as it seems like you could use one. Really felt the emotions you were conveying, so well done.
