And here we are
Huddled under a blanket
Holding hands, eyes locked
Ignoring the advance of the day’s slow creep
Headboard tired, bed springs aching
Desiring use for restful sleep

A mind melding trip
You lead me on
Out of body, restriction free
We’re as close as this human flesh allows
We can’t stop. Don’t want you to stop
No not ever. No not now

I really liked this. It took me back in time and place to the Dakotas, but let my mind wander free to fill in the details.
