We danced the dark together
And filled a Styx of tears,
Stark naked hearts flayed raw
To draw the shadows out.

A wild ballet of lust and loss,
Staged beyond sanity or sin
Where soul and spirit, sweat and sex,
Feast on each other.

Death and rebirth,
Love without a destination,
Each moment a nest woven out of threads
Vibrating endings.

Dream-drenched - dragons and demons, cries and caresses -
We built a temple made of honey, sanctified by sighs,
A single throbbing organ,
A testament to tribe.
