When darkness falls
Time seemingly crawls
Senses awaken
As if from hibernation

Pondering, steps recalled
Pausing, missteps remembered
Soaking in that eternal abyss
As if bathing in its inky blackness

Blind eyes render nothing
Turning, rolling inward
Senses grasp outward
Brimming with uncertainty

Emptiness within reigns
As a tyrant enthroned
Casting lightning
Mocking, cajoling

Embrace your fall
Welcome my laughter
Receive them each
As honored guests
