in the sleepy dreams of mystics
is the clairvoyant clamor
of timeless regimes so simplistic
so properly enamored

where fleeting feet do fly
a metronome of convicts condoned
across the hollow-eyed landscape
heedless of time nor place nor sob nor sigh

the luna eyed beauty of ominous allure
appeared with a sunday stroll stride
never a fairer balance of terror
found in the likes of mortals before

her subservient resisted he shouted in doubt
doused in a somber expression she taught him a lesson
by the dull edged lashes of her scything tongue
empathy impassioned from fear she fashioned a more abiding route

taken without heed nor mercies abound
in the dark clairdelune light of the moon
the influenced exponents of a foreshadowing hand
disbelief in cadenced power resound

senses strung out pulled taught and alert
the epitaph of empyrean
coaxing from the prophetess’s stolen lips
a disaccorded dissonance a colloquial consort

in the sleepy dreams of mystics
is the clairvoyant clamor
of timeless regimes so simplistic
so properly enamored
