Deja Vu

You come in
Un announced
Walk right in
Like you own the place
And look me dead in the face
And break the silence
That still cuts me like a knife
You ask for what you seek
Aside from the massage table you've already gathered

You're Looking for a relic
Something that used to mean something
Something that belonged to us
A collar
That you used to wear
Every club night
Every night
In nakedness
In the dark
In pictures
In moments
Moments spent with me
Erased by the sands of time
Released in rhythm and rhyme

Getting lost in Deja vu
How can you be this cruel?
Warlock
And yet it comes so easy
Such a snide pleasure
To know you cause me pain
And I can't let that happen again

You leave empty handed
Because what you're looking for
Is a Skeleton buried deep in the attic
But somehow one look see wasn't enough
You came back again
And divulge you need it for tonight
For your hot date
I can only speculate

I know it shouldn't bother me
Your scandalous affair
Under normal circumstances
It doesn't
But today
It was just fucking cruel
That you needed to announce
And ask for my help
The whereabouts of OUR relic

You just needed me to hear
And assume
You intended to give it to someone new
For her to wear your brand
Give her your time and attention
You're going to make her night
And that someone is just not me.
Only a clone
While I'm standing alone

You Just stopped by
Because you needed me to know
To engage my fear of loss
And now.....
That's all I can think about

Getting lost in Deja vu
How can you be this cruel?
Warlock
And yet it comes so easy
Such a snide pleasure
To know you cause me pain
And I can't let that happen again

Get the fuck out of my sex
You are the worst fucking ex

Yes, it's hard to understand that some still adore and come back for more to what they think is a revolving door but was long ago slammed shut.
