The heat of the day
Turns to black
The full moon rising
Causing light to slowly stretch
Across the lonely miles
Of empty desert sand
The moon’s eerie luminescence
Making it sparkle and glow
Like diamonds
Strewn on the pristine sand
Of a magical fairyland
Draped in black velvet
Studded with stars
A beautiful, unearthly dance hall
Waiting in lonely desolation
For the dancers
