you can meet someone special
one day,
spend hours and hours and hours
chatting
about absolutely
nothing
then find yourself
falling in love,
getting up
at oh dark thirty
each morning
for about a week
just to meet them,
but watch out
for the time differences
'cause it's easy
to lose track of time,
getting short
of sleep and food. . .
oh yeah.
then
just
when you're dependent
on these daily contacts
they vanish
without
rhyme
or reason
and
you never see
or hear
from them again.

a goodbye;
