Dreams of Magic

Oh to leave this earthly shell with all its deformities
And travel upon the road of the Valkyries
With feet shod in stars and dreams like sweet honey.
To ride with wings betwixt the currents of Fate
And laugh for the pure sake of creation.

To be innocent of ignorance and still show no fear,
Or hate, or anger, but to face peace and see,
Without turning away and seeking ones shadow
In the darkness of spite and self pity
The glow of anonymity.

To dream dreams of magical places and know
They are dreams and not wishes for a time
Far away and a place non-existent. And to wake,
And smile, and laugh with the dream, and to know
Beyond doubt the difference between.

To never have to seek or strive or judge or see
The difference in things of the same in a way
That derides the beginning from the end.
To value simplicity and not degrade what it is
For its lack of implicit complexity.
