I burn for you the way the sun burns,
wrapping rainclouds around me to cool this flame.
I cry for you the way the ocean cries...sobbing salty tears upon the
sun-baked sand.
I ache for you like the last heartbeat of a dying creature...
and empty embrace and sorrowful release.
I crave you with the power of lightning and the crash of thunder..
a barely choreographed battering of the foundations beneath belief.
I dream of you with the complexity of an autumn leaf--
bright crisp colors creating patterns scattered by the fickle wind.
And I love you.
Oh, how I love you
As the grass worships the Earth, and hidden roots
tangle in the tempting darkness,
entwined in hidden embrace and awaiting a new Spring.
