Rain splashes down my cheek
Like the tear that I shed -
Because you were so damned beautiful,
Because of what I saw in your eyes,
Because of how we fit together.

Raindrops fall on my breasts
Like kisses you dropped there -
Kisses ravenous and devouring,
Kisses reverent and softly sweet,
Kisses to heat my skin, thrill my core.

Droplets bead on my hip
Like your fingers touching -
Fingers drawing their shivery paths,
Fingers lingering on their journey,
Fingers making me ache with dire need.

Rivulets trace my thighs
Like your teasing tongue did -
Before sliding wetly through my heat,
Before seeking out my veiled secret,
Before lapping at my ecstasy.

The rain falls in my mind
Like puddles in footprints -
Memories of our tangled rapture,
Memories of the way time stood still,
Memories of limbs and hearts entwined.

Rain washes over me
Like echoes through time.

Dear Todski,

Thank you. That's much appreciated. As you know, I'm a fan of your work, so that means a lot.

Effective use

Of repetition to encapsulate and convey your message,

You linger on the repeats just enough, I.e to the point of grating repetition before switching to the next stanza

The imagery is erotic, sensual and an interesting entanglement of “wetness” In a broad sense but it ties directly back to the erotic theme

The final lines leave a lingering sense of melancholy as of remembering something fleeting that you may cling to in the dark...

5ed for what ever that may be worth
