She wants him to listen
There’s never any time
His walls create distance
She’s losing her mind

The walls are quite sturdy
His actions are like ice
His reactions are unworthy
He’s not even nice

He’s very occupied
With his job and his life
All she ever does is cry
She’s a mother and a wife

She longs for his love
He hurts her being unkind
He’s neglectful of
His actions make him blind

She’s in an emotional prison
The colors are rather bleak
She keeps her thoughts hidden
She’d rather not speak

All she wants is acceptance
For him to show that he cares
She wants his attendance
She doesn’t want to look elsewhere

They’ve been married for years
Perhaps he’s just comfortable
She holds back her tears
Their marriage has been memorable

The years keep on going
Perhaps one day he’ll be present
She’s always just hoping
She prays he could be pleasant

She loves him to her core
He loves her too
She just wants much more
She’ll always love you
