once upon a time,
a flightless bird crashed into the earth.
she was a female Icarus.
on her way back to the castle,
a princess found her in the snow.
she mistook her for an angel.
when she was close enough,
the princess could see there was no halo.
Icarus opened her eyes.
if she were an angel,
the story would be no different.
there was something holy about this.
