We decided to bring in a friend.
We had desires and couldn’t pretend
They weren’t for real.
We both began to feel
That we wanted monogamy to end.

Our friend came one day to lunch
Having an enlightened and promising hunch.
We ended in the jacuzzi.
Not being choosy,
And we finished the night in a bunch.

I shared her with Jared that day.
Would they repeat? I just couldn’t say.
But whether it should,
It began to feel good,
And we all liked our group sexual play.

Then I began to feel close to those two.
Were there doubts?  Yes, more than a few,
But we started to be
A family of three,
And she loved us, I knew that was true.

Instead of just two there were three.
It seemed just how it should be.
It may not be glamorous
We were now polyamorous,
And it felt it would then always be we.
