Click hereHow to know a person?
What they think? what they feel?
Far easier to know ones-self,
Yet how to overcome ones-self?
To conquer fears, self imposed fears.
Yet how much do our fears define ourselves?
To find fears in others is a joy
For it allows us to offer comfort,
To love and protect and soothe away the fear.
And how much joy to be the one soothed,
Unless their is no soother,
Only terror.
As a child we have our mothers,
Fathers, sisters, brothers. We have our teachers
And our friends and our schools guidance counsellors.
A whole network to catch our children,
To soothe away their fear, only as an adult
To be left to battle away at terror.
**note written at bottom of page**
Fears a funny thing
On a bike its falling off
On a plane its falling down
On a volcano its falling in
All of these I have faced
And yet fears remain
Unlike those above I think
My greatest can't even kill me.
There's a certain MAGIC in this. It makes the hairs on my arms stand up.
VERY thought provoking.
