"oh lovers drawn toward each other
to smother thoughts of freedom and singularity
demanding intensity and lustful indulgence.
a level of love not understood or grasped for it burns the chest and eats the mind and kills reason.
lovers so passionately involved in each others head space
beyond logic, no care how the world turns or what society demands.
those that jealousy consumes and envy gnaws at the heart
for fear that others may share in the company and demand the attention of ones lover
lest they find interest and intrigue in the offerings of another.
those lovers whose hearts are consumed by insecurities
imaginings of unfaithfulness, deceit, lies and intrigue
the beating of ones head and pulling hair
an uncontrolled sobbing and begging
reaching levels of hysteria.
be these lovers lost in another sort of love where most will never dare to tread?
or be it a state of mind consumed by the existence of the other for they be everything one would imagine a lover should be?
touching a nerve, igniting a festering destroying...an abnormality being their reality.
to come out of such a liaison unscathed...is that possible?"

Been there

I enjoyed this....... the impression I got: the whole dialog of this poem was as though it came out in a rush. Like a small child trying to explain something BEFORE anyone reacts. Nicely done.
