"How will I know what that is?
What do I do now?"

When asked, she replied,
"You will put one foot,
In front of the other
And when the time is right
You will walk into his arms
And be welcomed home,
For you will have found it.

"It will be staring you in the face,
As you lose yourself in the eyes
Looking down at you,
You will feel it in the strong hands
As they caress you...
You will go slowly, though your feet
Will bid you fly.

"You will go softly, and though
The pounding in your chest,
Will cease to be so loud
For, you will find, it has
Flown from you, and is
Now nestled next to his.

"Have no fear... for he will
Keep it safe, and hold it dear,
As he tucks you, tenderly,
Nestled close by his side.
You will know, just in the
Comfort you feel, each with
The other... that you are
Both treasured, safe, secure.

"And together, you both will
Hear the echos of your hearts
Now joined, beating
In tune as one.

"That is what you will do,
And that is how you will know
That you have, indeed,
Found where you belong...
For you will have truly,
Found Home."

To Lovelylisa:

My words are all I have to give... and I love to share them with others and if, by the way they are strewn together, they create images for the reader or brings deep feelings to the surface... then I am pleased.<br>

Thank you for your kind words. They are high praise indeed.

so beautiful

Such an elegant poem... I love the line about the pounding in your chest becoming nestled next to his. Very beautiful!
