I couldnt find in my storage john denvers windsong
which contains his song fly away and which has
olivia newton john singing back up
some have said her boyfriend flew away
because he disappeared one day and still
hasnt been found
and more sadly is john died while flying
when his own plane decided it didnt want to fly anymore
then later when I was in my car returning from storage
I saw three adults leading a young boy
away from from the january ocean as some seagulls flew overhead
one adult held one of the boys hands above his head
while another adult held the boys other hand above his head
and the boy probably thought I can fly away just like those gulls
while the other following adult probably wished
they could fly away to someplace warm in their lost youth
sometimes I wish I could fly away
and escape all of my problems like forrests jenny
but mostly all I ever do is drive the speed limit
blocking the driver behind me
who wants to fly like hell in a 25 mile zone
as young children nearby dream of flying
to their own space
someplace safe and warm
