In the wind, a rose petal
Across the wide lands, rain
Budding, tender attraction
Cowers from old, pervasive pain

Deep longing for her warmth grows
-young loves are never tame
But 'neath it still, the heart recalls
How ignorant infatuations maim

How I desire her desire!
If only for to push away
To satisfy my narcissistic soul
From steady course, I am dragged oft astray

In the wind, a rose petal
Across the wide lands, rain
I dare not to hold it, for 't would be a sin
To tear another in twain
