Forgiveness is a Path that's hard to take
It's hard to forgive yours and another's mistake
You can forgive but never forget
We all live our lives with moments we regret
We clamp up and shake as we sweat
We clear our throats and try to pay our Debt
We struggle as we remember every word
We try to forgive those for the words we heard
We try to spread our wings and try to fly
Forgiving is challenging, I will not lie
Now is not the time and not the place
Come around another time when I want to see your face
I would appreciate it if you would give me space
If you choose not to, I rest my case
Head these words that I say
Perhaps we can try this another day
Maybe in time we will see each other's way
Give me time to think this through
Respect and Forgiveness is earned, it goes for Me and you
It takes time to heal
We must think how we feel
The rips turn to tears, it hurts as we want it to end
We feel our body breaking as we bend
Perspectives are different, we have our own
Understanding others is the hard part, we're Kings and Queens on our Throne
Sometimes we get caught up and stay in our Own Zone
Observing and anaylizing, assumptions are sometimes wrong
Wrong or Right is not always the case as we argue so long
Blow after blow, not wanting to admit defeat
Sometimes it is Wise to take a retreat
There is no Victory, there is no Loss
We must move on and make a toss
Toss it away and leave it be
Until the right time, then we'll see
On some terms we will agree
