A dominant makes you feel worthy.
In his eyes I am strong, beautiful, and smart.
He knows I'll have stumbles, but he cares to pick me up and leads me the first few steps. A dominant and submissive are like a giant tree.

Steps that perhaps I was timid to make long ago. He doesn't care about tree rings, for a dominant will grow with you, even as seasons change. He is the sturdy roots from which I flourish.

My buds open because his bark protects me. I nourish those around me with sweet scents, and a pleasing form, because he cares not only for me, but how things grow around us-together. Neither WANTS to exist alone, but both are strong to stand apart if the worst happens; as it often does. But our roots are strong.

Our sappy core binds us and provides others unity. The winds may howl discord, and the rains may try to flood...but that's okay because we have each other to cling to again and again. Things nest in places troublesome, yet every creature needs rest, shade, food, water and a home. Let us be that shelter.

And when our center has hundreds of rings, and we've lived a full life and our tree is petrifing...because lightening struck us too many times. But, that's okay too...because people often pass us and say, "That tree lived, though three or four generations".

And, there were other saplings around us to take our place soon. And, WE were both proud. We lived through the lightening you and I...and that's made all the difference.
