The last one in line
broke down and asked
the wall flower to dance
to a sweet ballad.
She held him so close
like she didn't want to
let him go and she felt
his heart beat next to hers.

She was getting weaker
than she ever felt before...
she wanted love forever
couldn't take anymore...
of all those lonely nights
sleeping in a cold, cold bed...
she was feeling emptiness
and really getting weaker.

She found one at last
to fill her life full of...
happiness and sweet hope
and passion to fill her heart.
Her hunger was fed at last
her soul was on fire...
and finally she had smiled,
it had been so many years.

She had been getting weaker
than she ever did before...
she wanted that one to kiss her,
to be The One forevermore.
Her heart and soul hungered
for the love she prayed for and...
though she found sweet passion
she had been getting weaker.

Getting weaker.
