My eyes once saw the world to come: a place of my every desire.
What I had wished for in my life. Unknowingly, I played with fire.
From my Mentor, I had learned.
Reality pierced like a knife
My hideaway, my world of dreams.
I then knew that I'd been burned.

Now, I feel a growing pain.
Everything's not what it seems.
Is something wrong? Am I insane?
My cold eyes can clearly see
The harbinger of my fate,
What Life has in store for me.
I awoke, but way too late.

I yearned to be just like the rest,
But now I bow my head and pray.
But am I ready for the Test,
The Test to come upon that Day?
